Cooking Directions:
Lightly grease an extra large baking sheet. Push the wooden sticks into the whole unpeeled uncut green apples. Do not wiggle the stick around, as it will become loose. Now in a medium saucepan over medium to medium high heat, mix in your sugar, light corn syrup, ground cinnamon, and mineral water. You will want to heat up the ingredients in the saucepan to about 300 degrees Fahrenheit. To check if your syrup mix is ready, try place a small droplet of it into cold water, and see if the droplet instantly hardens, if so your sweet candy apple mix is ready. Now turn off the burner, and remove the saucepan from the burner. Immediately add in the red food coloring, and stir. You want a nice consistent red color through the syrup. Once done, holding the apples by the stick, dip each one into the syrup, until the skin is completely covered with syrup. Once that is done, place it on to the cooking sheet, and even coat it with your choice or nuts, or coconut, or any mix preferred. Let the apple sit on the cooking sheets, until the candy coating is completely hard. It's recommended you wait to sever them for several hours.
