Cooking Directions:
Remove each stem from each of the ripe Granny Smith green apples. Once each apple is destemmed, take one wooden popsicle stick, and press into the apple. Be sure not to push it through the other side of the apple. Once the 12 sticks are inserted, grease a large cooking sheet. Now take out a microwave safe mixing bowl, and place all of the unwrapped caramel candies into the bowl. Do make sure all of the paper wrappings are completely removed from each caramel, as they have a tendency to stick. Now add in the 2% milk, and cooking place the bowl in the microwave, and cook for 2 minutes. Once it's done, stir melted caramel mixture twice. Now roll each apple in the caramel, be sure to do it quickly, and evenly. Once the apple is fully coated with caramel, place it on the baking sheet. You may add a variety of optional nuts sprinkled over the top of each set caramel apple. You'll have to be quick doing this all, as the caramel will harden within several minutes.
