Cooking Directions:
For the first step in this almond chocolaty recipe, you will want to preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit, or roughly 218 degrees Celsius. Next take out a baking sheet and layer on your whole organic almonds, and roast them in the oven for about ten minutes or so. You will know when they are done because they'll be slightly golden or browned, and you'll begin to smell the fragrance of delicious roasted almonds in your kitchen. Next take out a cookie sheet, and place a piece of wax paper on it. Next take out a double boiler, I use a Krona Stainless Steel Double Boiler and it gets the job done well. Next add in the chopped dark chocolate, stirring constantly until all of the chocolate has been melted. Next remove the chocolate from the burner, and pour all of the almonds into the chocolate sauce, stirring rapidly as they fall in. Once the whole almonds are completely covered in chocolate sauce, take out a large kitchen fork, and start removing them one by one, and then placing them on to the cookie sheet. Be sure to leave enough room in between them, so they will not get stuck together. Once you have a neat and organized cookie tray full of now chocolate covered almonds, place the cookie sheet into the refrigerator to cool. It should take about half an hour for the chocolate to harden. The chocolate covered almonds once finished can be stored in a glass candy jar with a lid, and at room temperature. They should keep well for about a month after making them. Serve them by the handful, along with a cold glass of Horizon Organic Reduced Fat Milk.
