Cooking Directions:
This is a classic candy recipe passed down from mother to mother for years. For the first step in this delicious recipe, you will need to take out a nine by thirteen inch baking pan, and line it with aluminum cooking foil. Once you are done there, set the pan aside for later. Next take out a double boiler, and add into the top boiler the butter and chocolate chips. Heat and stir occasionally until the chocolate and butter are completely melted, and form a smooth consistent chocolate sauce. Once you are done there, add in the peanut butter and continue heating the sauce. Stir until the ingredients are smooth and creamy. Once you are done mixing the sauce, remove it from the stove, and then pour the sauce into the baking pan. Using a mixing spoon, regulate the sauce to form an even thickness. From there cover the surface of the chocolate mix with aluminum foil, but try to leave space between the foil and the candy surface. Finally slide the baking pan into the refrigerator to chill until the candy is hardened. This should take about two to three hours to complete. Once sufficiently chilled, take out a sharp kitchen knife and cut the candy into one inch square. Store in a glass candy jar at room temperature. Seal the jar with a lid for storage.
