Get ready to prepare rock candy the old fashioned way. To begin you will need a two quart jar. Make sure that the jar is clean, sterile, and dry. Next take out a large bowl, and pour in the spring water. From here slowly begin gradually adding in the sugar, stirring until all of the sugar is completely dissolved. Once your sugar water is ready, pour it all into the two quart jar you prepared earlier. Next add into the jar a bamboo skewer or two, and be sure the top of the skewer rises out above the water level. From here you will need to cover the top of the jar with a cloth to keep out dust and debris. Do not seal the jar with a lid, it needs to breath through the cloth so the water can evaporate. Place the cloth covered jar into a cool dark place, where it will sit undisturbed for several days. You know it's done when all of the water has evaporated from the jar, and crystals have formed on the skewer. Outlined above is the simple recipe format.
